About the NDIS in Canberra ACT
The Gold Coast and Hinterland region has more than 16,000 active NDIS participants, significantly higher than early forecasts of 9,000. The region is part of the traditional country of the Yugambeh people of the wider Bundjalung Nation.
Local Area Coordination (LAC)
Carers Queensland is the designated Local Area Coordinator (LAC) partner
for the NDIS on the Gold Coast. They work closely with NDIS participants to
start, use and understand their NDIS plans and funded supports.

Early Childhood Early Intervention Partner (ECEI)
UnitingCare Queensland : An approved NDIS early childhood approach partner providing support to children under 9 with
developmental delays or disabilities.
Autism Queensland (EarlyAQtion): Offers specialist early intervention services, including group sessions and individual therapy at Gold Coast centres.
Early Start Australia (Coomera & Ashmore): Provides multidisciplinary paediatric services including occupational therapy and speech pathology, with in-home or in-clinic options.
Everyday Independence : Offers Early Childhood Intervention services featuring key workers, occupational therapists, and speech pathologists.
Integral Therapeutic Supports: Focuses on NDIS early childhood intervention services across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
Impact Family Services: A registered provider offering OT, psychology, and behaviour support.
